HOET is more than just an eyewear brand – it is a story of passion, craftsmanship, and the courage to think differently.
A story carried for six generations by entrepreneurs at heart.
The Hoet family has been shaping the world of optics for generations. What once began as a traditional optician's shop has grown over the years into an internationally recognized eyewear design studio, the founder of the brands THEO, HOET and CABRIO.
As the founder and brand architect of THEO, optician Patrick Hoet laid the foundations of a brand that would become a benchmark in the world of eyewear - with a DNA driven from the very start by individuality, craftsmanship, and an unmistakable visual language.
The bond with THEO took on a new dimension. Hoet remains the creative engine behind THEO's designs - an independent agency in structure yet inextricably linked in spirit and ambition. Together with her father, Bieke founded the design agency HOET.

Hoet expanded its creative vision further with mirrors, displays, and interior concepts for optical stores. Thanks to their deep roots in the industry, they perfectly anticipate the needs of opticians, offering innovative designs that bridge the gap between functionality and brand experience.
What began as the creative force behind other names finally gains its own identity — a brand that embodies the vision, values, and individuality of Hoet in its purest form.

That same creative drive found other avenues of expression. With brands such as CABRIO, Bieke and Patrick prove that their signature extends far beyond a single name - and that a solid creative foundation can be the basis for more than one story.

Bieke takes over the full management of the design agency. Under her leadership, the brands HOET and CABRIO continue to evolve into strong international players, with an unwavering focus on innovation and market development. At the same time, Hoet continues to apply its expertise through freelance design services for THEO, consistently creating successful models.
At Hoet, we believe the most beautiful innovations arise from looking beyond our own industry. By embracing techniques from other fields and applying them to eyewear design, we have consistently secured a pioneering position. As a co-founder of the brand THEO, we were the first to launch laser-cut glasses - a revolutionary technique within the eyewear world at the time.
When 3D printing technology crossed our path in 2010, we didn't hesitate for a second ...
In 2014, we were the very first in the world to market 3D-printed titanium eyewear - and we didn't stop there. Together, Patrick and Bieke developed a full collection around this innovation, with each model fully utilizing the unique possibilities of this technology.
Today, Bieke stands at the helm as the sixth generation, proudly continuing HOET’s pioneering spirit.
Innovation is in our DNA. But above all, we believe in eyewear that moves people - aesthetically, emotionally, and technically.
